CSA Shares for 2025 Available Now!

CSA Shares

What is a CSA Membership?

In a CSA, individuals or families become members by purchasing a share of the farm's harvest in advance. In return, members receive a regular supply of fresh, seasonal produce. The content of each share varies based on the crops in season, allowing members to enjoy a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and sometimes additional products like mushrooms and flowers.

The growing season typically spans from May through October. Members benefit from the freshest produce, often harvested on the same day that it's distributed. Members also have the opportunity to visit the farm, participate in events, and learn about modern sustainable farming practices throughout the season.

Changes to our CSA Program for 2025

As we look ahead to the 2025 season, we’re excited to announce some changes to our CSA program to better serve you and the community. Here’s what’s new:

1. Single Share Option

Starting next season, we’ll be offering a single share option that includes 5-6 fresh, hand-picked items each week. If you’re looking for more variety, you can always pick up extra produce at our farmers' market table!

2. New Pickup Schedule

CSA pickups will now be available at:

   - Westhaven Market: Wednesdays, 4-7 PM

   - Bellevue Market: Thursdays, 4-7 PM

*Please note, there will no longer be Friday pickups.*

3. Seasonal Splits

To make things more flexible, we’ll be splitting the CSA into three distinct seasons:

   - Spring: 8 weeks (May-June)

   - Summer: 6 weeks (July-August)

   - Fall: 8 weeks (September-October)

4. Introducing the Donation Share

In partnership with The Store, a local nonprofit grocery, you can now purchase a Donation Share to help provide fresh produce to those in need. You can donate for a single week, a season, or even the entire year. Your generosity will go directly to supporting families in need. Our aim is to help eliminate food insecurity in the Nashville area.

Where Our Donations Go

FAQs

1 / What if I need to cancel mid-season?

We will be unable to issue any refunds. There will be a cancelation fee for mid-season cancelation. We purchase supplies & inputs for produce specifically for CSA Members & therefore incur the expense for each CSA Member once they have registered for the season. You may transfer your membership to a friend or family member or for donation if you’d like.

Cancellation Fees
$15 per remaining week

2 / Late or missed pick ups

Email us 2 days in advance. We can put the share on hold for your normal pickup and you may pickup here at the farm that same week. If you are unable to do that, please arrange to have a friend pickup your share. Email us at homegrowngardendesign@gmail.com.

3 / Custom changes

At this time, we are unable to meet requests for changes or substitutions to CSA bags.

4 / Reusable bags

Prior week’s empty bag will be returned each week at time of pickup of your next share. Each member will be able to keep their bag at the end of the season as our gift to you.

5 / Natural disaster

By subscribing, you understand that we are not responsible for natural disasters & that you're willing to accept the conditions that farmers are faced with throughout the growing season.
